4. Reading Tracker and Local Data
FreeReadingTracker is architected as an offline-capable, client-side application. Your book shelves, ratings, reading milestones, and personal notes are saved exclusively in your device's web browser storage (localStorage).
Because we do not store, host, or sync your personal library data on our servers, you are responsible for safeguarding your records. Clearing your browser cache or site data will remove locally stored information.
To preserve your records, please use the built-in 'Backup & Export Library' feature in the tracker to download a portable JSON backup file to your device regularly.
5. Intellectual Property
The original interface design, layout, typography, branding, graphics, source code, and editorial content of FreeReadingTracker are protected by applicable intellectual property and copyright laws. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive license to use the website for non-commercial reading tracking and planning.
Book titles, author names, genres, and metadata entered by readers remain the intellectual property or trademarks of their respective creators and publishers. FreeReadingTracker claims no ownership over third-party literary works or publications.
